A small handheld video game console device produced by Nintendo. The Wii is the successor to the Nintendo GameCube, and features a wireless controller, a wiimote that can be used as a pointing device, and WiiConnect24, which is primarily used for Internet messaging and product updates. Nintendo Wii was released in November 2006.
