The practice of adding meta data to a geographic location such as bookmarking a page in the Google Maps app on your iPhone. Some iPhoe apps, including the Camera app, will also geotag photos taken on the iPhone, so they can be identified by location once uploaded to services like Flickr or SmugMug.
