The IDU is an image detector that converts X-ray irradiation into electrical signals that can be read out as image data. The sensitive area of the IDU is an amorphous silicon flat panel photodiode array. The maximum resolution is 1024 x 768 with a pixel pitch of 392 microns. The active area is of 40 x 30 cm.
